I'm a Leaf, Are You?

More and more I am finding out many people are not a fan of Fall. I absolutely love the season of Fall and let me tell you why...Besides the cool, crisp air, which is incredibly perfect weather, smiles and winks to all of you who disagree LOL, I like the crunch of the leaves when the squirrels scamper across to find acorns. The robin's egg blue sky usually has puffy, cotton-like clouds. When the sun sets, the trees change into their silouettes and sit against the vibrant, rainbow sherbet painted background. The brilliant reds, golds and greens that saturate the world around me at this time feel like home to me. Most people say the leaves dying makes them feel depressed and droopy, I see it completely opposite. When I see the leaves falling and changing to new colors, it renders a comparison of when we start a new season in our lives or when we admit our faults and sins to Christ and ask for forgiveness. The old version of us dies away and then we experience a season where we are finding our way down a new path and let's be completely honest, most of the time, it is a cold and lonely road until you find your way, then, with lots of rain, BOOM... we blossom into a new, more beautiful version of ourselves! So, today I encourage you to be one of those falling leaves and ask Christ to come into your heart and guide your footsteps down the path you have always been meant for. You might be suprised what you bloom into. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believeth in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life."
